WHEW! Congratulate yourself! You accomplished a lot!

Before beginning this WebQuest, you may have been a little nervous about learning poetry and literary terms. Hopefully, now that you are finished, you know a little more about poetry and feel more comfortable using poetry to express yourself and your emotions!

In the first task, you learned all kinds of different literary terms about poetry. From alliteration to onomatopoeia, you learned what these funny words meant and how they apply to poetry!

In the second task, you looked at five different poetic forms, including Free Verse, Limerick, Cinquain, Diamonte, and Haiku. You learned that while some poetry has strict rules, they all accomplish the same goal: self-expression.

Finally, in the third task, you showed off your newly acquired knowledge and wrote some of your own poems! Some of you probably thought that you'd NEVER write poetry! I told you! You're a POET and you didn't even KNOW IT!
