Introduction
You walk into the classroom and find that it has been emptied except for Mrs. Schwartz and a large, gray, metal box. Mrs. Schwartz tells you that she has recently purchased a time machine and that you will be traveling through time to learn the history of the United States. You will take trips to three regions of the United States and one trip to Central America to learn about the Native Americans who lived there.
The class steps into the big box and . . . BOOM! Something goes wrong. You find yourself separated with a couple of your classmates. You have been transported to one of the four original regions, but that is all you know. You wonder how people adapt to life in the region that you find yourself transported to and who the people are that live there.
