The Process
Make sure you read the Evaluation now so you know how you will be graded!
The First Step
1.  It always helps to divide up, so get in groups of four.  I like four ... four paws, four cookies, yes four is good.
2.  I figure we need two people to figure out where I was born. Let's call them the Homey Hunters.
3.  The other two people should work on where I am now ... let's call them the Snatching Seekers.
4. Go figure those things out by clicking on your group name. When you solved the mysteries, come back here for my ideas on how we might get me home.

The Second Step
Buddy Sleeping in Cat BedWow! You were fast. I was just taking a little snooze. The life of a prisoner is very tiring.

So where was I born? Where am I now? I might have forgot to mention that being as I'm a puppy and all I can't read. Would you mind showing me on this map of Missouri where I was born and where I am?
Hey while you are at it, why not fill in a couple more things.
Homey Hunters why don't you work on the first and third ones and Snatching Sneekers you take the second and fourth ones.

1. Major Rivers and Lakes
2. How about the five biggest cities
3. The capital, of course
4. There is this one real mountain I have heard of. See if you can find out about that. Imagine, a mountain in Missouri!

You Guessed it ... Step Three
Buddy Chewing on Rope Toy O.K. We are really moving now. We know where I am and where I want to be. So, ummm ... how do I get there? I mean it isn't that I'm scared or anything but you are going with me right? Well, and I have another question .... There is this really nice kid that lives here and well she gives me these toys and ... can I take the toys with me and maybe the kid too?
Could you maybe find out some doggie places we could visit along the way home?  I mean I want to get there, but why not have a little fun along the way. How about ...
Buddy and Mom
New Mom and Me
1. Have you ever heard of a monument. It's like a statue of someone really important and there are these words they write on it to tell people the whole story. Well ....  my new Mom (did I tell you I have this new Mom ... just till I can get home) told me a story about a town in Missouri that has a monument to a dog right in the middle of town! They really respect dogs there. I heard any dog that visits can go right up and smell the statue as long as they want.  I want to smell that dog. His name used to be Old Drum. See if you can find him for me Ok? Homey Hunters you get to work on this one.
2. Then there is this place called Purina Farms. It sounds great! There is "Purina" ... my favorite dog food and "Farms" means there has to be fun stuff to chase. I want to go by the Competition Center on my way home ...P-L-E-A-S-E ..  Snatching Sneekers this one is for you.
3. One more,  before I go home, I want to see your favorite spot in Missouri. You have to know more than me about Missouri. What would the coolest thing to see be?  Let's Go !  Everyone gets to work together on this one. (Don't you love being bossed around by a puppy?)

Step Four ... Knocking at the Door

Homey Homes this one is for you. Snatching Sneekers you go on to Step Five.

Buddy Looking at Camera with Toy
It is time to get the old road map out and start planning our trip. A road map, you know a map with roads on it.
1. Draw over the route with a pencil first and then a highlighter.
2. Make sure I start where I am now, visit all three fun stops and end up at home.
3. Now help the Snatching Sneekers wrap it all up with Step Five.

Almost Finished ... I Promise .... Step Five Buddy Outside on Leash
Did I mention the lecture tour?    You see there is this deal where they pay guys to come around and talk about their adventures and show where they were and then they give the guys food AND money. Get it FOOD and MONEY! How can we lose?  All you have to do is:
1.  Make up a presentation that shows where we started.
2. Show where we stopped and tell about our exciting adventures along the way.
3. Show where we ended up.   I see Milk bones and Smelly Trees in our future!
